THE FIRST SUMMER
Michelle has done much to improve the Tennis offering to the Atlantic community and to encourage new players to take up the sport.
Welcome to Justin Madden and all his tennis learners and to new Pro Coach from Johannesburg Pieter Calitz.
"Ring for a string" provides racquet restringing and sundry basic tennis requirements.
There is a buzz of activity at peak times and it is good to see that Sea Point provides ideal playing conditions when the south easter is blowing like crazy everywhere else!
It is unfortunate that Members have not supported the social functions arranged to date.
The Club had 2 teams playing in WP Leagues for the first time in many years and it seems that this and privately arranged matches may be what Members want most. The Mens Doubles A Team won the 4th League without losing a match. This team has won promotion. The Mens 6th League singles team provided a great incentive to Junior players and we thank Justin for managing this team.
In the next few months we will try other organised forms of tennis.
